San Francisco, CA

The design team provided comprehensive engineering and technology design for retrofit of the entire 37 story, 350 ksf high-rise buildings for PG&E corporate function.

Sean Timmons led the design services for initial master planning and building design. The design team then provided full design, MEP, Technology, PV and fuel cell system design for the full shell/core and tenant improvements.  This included administrative office space, full kitchen/cafeteria, daycare and retail space.

Our team has studied various sustainable measures to achieve LEED Platinum rating and an active chilled beam system has been proposed. A complete replacement of the aged infrastructure on a phased basis is planned whilst the client maintains full occupancy and operation. The logistical challenges have been met by the design team at the onset of the design process.

The team also reviewed options to reskin the building and lighten the dead-load on the façade thus improving its seismic performance.
