UC Riverside, CA

The Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts and the California Museum of Photography offer unique spaces for meetings, conferences, performances, film screenings, receptions, and special events. Located in downtown Riverside, our historic sites provide state of the art sound and screening equipment as well as artistic settings that inspire creativity.

This former retail store now contains the worlds larges collection of rare photographic plates challenged the design team to provide a unique controlled environment.

Our team provided full MEP and Sustainable Design concept services including CFD modelling to understand daylight and natural ventilation. Idea was to keep design simple with radiant heating and ventilation only. Activate the windows to provide fresh air and utilize simple ceiling fans to move air through the building. The project was designed to a LEED Gold Standard.
